Due to the ongoing travel restrictions, Ringette BC has made the decision to cancel the 2021 U18 Challenge Cup event scheduled for June 25 to 27th at the Olympic Oval in Richmond. The 2021 Challenge Cup was intended to bring together athletes from across the province to provide an experience similar to the Excellence Ringette Program. While the 2021 Challenge Cup event was open only to CSI – Pacific carded athletes, the continued travel restrictions and lack of details regarding potential exemptions for provincially carded athletes limits Ringette BC’s ability to offer in-person events. Ringette BC is hopeful that the BC Restart Plan 2.0 that provides a roadmap for reopening will allow for the 2022 Challenge Cup. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
