Congratulations to the U16A Kodiaks on winning bronze at provincials. The team defeated Vernon 6-4. They then dropped the next two games to Vancouver and Kelowna.
This setup a must-win game against Quesnel. The team scored first on a goal from Sarah Connor. They later fell behind 2-1 until well into the second period. The team then exploded for 6 unanswered goals and ended up winning the game 7-3.
In the bronze medal game the team battled hard but eventually lost 4-2 to Kelowna (the eventual winners). The Kodiaks were recognized for their sportsmanship and were named the TrueSport receipients.
